I...What a wonderful song for Easter this month! I'm going to teach this using your suggested method.<br />I'm also going to repeat something I did two years ago. We acted out the story of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem and sang "Hosanna." The kids waved palm fronds (fern leaves from the dollar store), then put their coats and sweaters, plus the palm fronds, out on the floor. They absolutely loved it.
