We sang The First Noel, and they were able to see how the melody went up and down, and repeated basically the same melody 3 times each verse. Then we sang Oh Come All Ye Faithful, where the melody makes big jumps up and down. Plus, I gave them all popsicle sticks and we pretended they were shepherd's staffs. Then we used the sticks/staffs to do our pitch conducting.
